During the Viet Nam war the US Army had a highly trained and specialized group of technicians that roamed the boundaries of that war-torn country and the surrounding Army installations in neighboring countries. They practiced the science of Metrology, and their mission was to make sure that everything worked to the highest precision and accuracy possible.
This is the true story about my service during that war, with these men who were a true credit to their country. They moved with their equipment in their signature white trucks, from one location to another: keeping the Army repair, maintenance, and communication centers working at top performance.
This book has over 160 black and white and color photos I’ve taken during that service in Viet Nam, Okinawa and Taiwan.
This is a story about an almost unknown group of soldiers who thought of themselves as White Elephant Gypsies.
Humanity is on the verge of an AI explosion. For good or bad it will become part of what we are. Major tech revolutions have happened many times before. We have gone through a lot of bad before we worked out all the bugs and got to the good. We will learn our lessons from AI. But wouldn’t it be nice if we could talk to space aliens and ask them, “What do we need to know to be cautious about AI?” This down to earth Science Fiction story is about doing that and shortening that learning curve. Then AI could truly better our lives.
This book contains short stories of many genres like fiction, nonfiction and science fiction. Did the Shawnee military leader, Tecumseh, put a curse on America? Can furniture be heroic? Who really is your best friend? How do you survive in the future nano-tech dystopia? Why was the green panther green? Is it hard to talk to a fire lizard? Why wasn’t Genghis Khan assassinated? Answers to these and other questions can be found in these unique stories that will take you far a field in fact and fiction in both time and space.
We don’t have many big bad predators to fight or compete with. So, we fight ourselves instead. How stupid we have been. Someday we may not be the badest beasts on the block. Our future survival may depend on lessons we are not prepared for. This book explores these ideas in the wide scope of a space adventure to solve mysteries and protect humanity’s future.
Marxism is a terrible affliction to any country. How can we protect our country from this disease? The affliction itself holds the key to its own prevention. This book takes a look at the disease and what we can do to slow the spread in our country. The prevention is simple, but not easy.
“Ryan Robinson has one of the most interesting and wide-ranging imaginations. A mind that ranges comfortably over science fiction, fiction and reality. I met Ryan in a writing group and listened to him read several pages of whatever he was working on at the time. Mostly science fiction based.
This genre isn’t one I’m drawn to but after twenty pages into SORROW’S EDGE, I was totally into the story. Ryan’s portrayal of alternative ways of life and his technical explanations of events occurring in his futuristic worlds were so believable. Additionally, Ryan’s knack for inserting humor into the characters’ dialog are both appealing and amusing.
On the opposite side of this genre is a factual and life-altering ‘hit-you-in-the-face’ reality book CURING MARXISM. I will sum up my analysis by saying that this book is profound and should be read with an open yet curious mind.”
“I’ve read all that Ryan Robinson has written so far; and I must say, I’m very impressed with his versatility. His books reach the gamut from space to history… and everything in between. Always imaginative and entertaining; his style of writing is loaded with dry, and often subtle humor. His works are either relatable, OR something that completely takes you away. Best of all, reading Mr. Robinson always teaches me something new. I highly recommend his books if you’re ready for storytelling that will leave you smiling & wanting more.”

“I was immediately struck by the unusual imagination and technical texture in his stories, fiction and science fiction.”
